Privacy Policy

The marketing site explains Home Transcripts and offers public helper tools. Transcript creation happens inside an authenticated account, where student and homeschool records are stored for the user.

Local tool data

The public GPA calculator and tracker use localStorage so planning data can remain available in the same browser. This data is not sent to Home Transcripts servers by the marketing site.

Users can clear saved tool data through the clear controls in each tool or through browser settings.

Account and transcript data

Authenticated account profiles, homeschool records, students, academic years, courses, transcript settings, signature records, saved transcript versions, and subscription summaries are stored in Supabase.

Users can export account data and request account deletion through account settings. Deletion workflows are designed to remove user-owned records while preserving limited billing or security records when required for legitimate business, legal, fraud-prevention, or tax reasons.

Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Home Transcripts stores subscription summary information but does not store full card details.

Stripe may process payment method details, checkout activity, customer portal actions, receipts, disputes, and tax-related billing data according to Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.

Children's educational information

Transcript records may contain student names, dates of birth, courses, grades, credits, GPA, school information, and administrator contact information. Users should enter only the information needed to create the transcript.

A parent, guardian, or homeschool administrator should manage records for a minor student. Home Transcripts is not intended for children to create accounts without appropriate adult involvement.

Contact emails

When a user sends an email, the message is handled by the user's email provider and the recipient mailbox. Users should avoid sending sensitive student records by ordinary email.

Google Analytics

Public marketing pages use Google Analytics through Google tag ID G-0STJDH5GNL to understand page traffic and improve the website.

Google Analytics is not loaded in authenticated app routes by default, so private transcript editor, preview, billing, and settings pages are not intentionally measured with this tag.

Service providers and security

Supabase provides database and authentication infrastructure. Stripe provides payment infrastructure. Vercel hosts the application. Google provides analytics for public marketing pages. These providers process data as needed to operate and improve the service.

The app uses authentication, row-level database policies, server-side entitlement checks, and private routes to protect account data. No web service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so users should keep passwords private and report suspicious access.

Legal review

This privacy summary is written to describe the current product accurately, but it should be reviewed by qualified counsel before major paid advertising, institutional sales, or broader data-processing changes.
